† Dressing like a Vamp †

For the horror movie fans, Goths, monsters fans and darkness lovers like us; we often dress with clothes that have images of all the things we love . But if you are a fangbanger or just a vampire lover and have a dark style, this is the post for you.
I believe that Pamela Swynford De Beaufort, better known as Pam in True Blood, is the best fashion role model we have right now on TV. Most of the women characters on TV that represents the Goth subculture (or just vampires) are depressed, crazy, slutty or serial killers. Pam is just a tough, strong, intelligent, beautiful and sarcastic vampire who dress to kill ! … yes, literally!

It doesn’t matter if she is in fangtasia, helping Erick or feeding herself, Pam has a great style that doesn’t suck at all. Many people don’t know that Goth begins early in life basically you carry it inside you, then this kids will become teenagers who finally grow up into –normal-(not common) adults, who has many facets of their life. As we grow older I believe that our style doesn’t have to disappear but evolve into something more sophisticated and according to our life.

True Blood’s Costume Designer; Audrey Fisher says that Pam has a “Goth-influenced wardrobes”. Yes, there are many people who use Goth-influenced clothes , example: Karl Lagerfeld. “She links each character’s looks for specific scenes and gives the goods on the labels the vampires wear, from more mainstream ones like Joseph Abboud and Bebe to avant-garde discoveries like Skingraft, Amanda Lew Kee and Germany’s Blessed vamp; Cursed.”

Pam wears from latex, leather, corsets, fishnets to satin, all classic and beautiful. I can describe her style as a dominatrix/ high society/Fashionista all mix and sometimes it depends on the place and the situation. We can find some of these pieces or outfits at Herve Leger, D&G, Valentino, Juicy Couture, blessed and cursed, Burberry, Amanda Lew Kee, Skingraft, Eirik Aswang, Armor jewelry, some of the clothes are labels knock off , got to vintage stores or made by Audrey Fishers.

I'm sure that any female who gets this clothes (or smiliar), will feel like she can kick some ass just like Pam ! If you want to get more fashion ideas watch True Blood ....a show to die for.

Do you know them? - Dream description

Have you ever had a dream that seemed so real? Have you ever dreamed of places that you never were in? Have you ever dreamed with people you've never met? And the details of everything were so real you felt that what it was happening to you was not a dream but a very real travel experience? This happened to me many times. This is the description of one of those dreams.

" Astral projection (or astral travel) is an interpretation of out of body experience (OBE) that assumes the existence of an "astral body" separate from the physical body and capable of travelling outside it. Astral projection or travel denotes the astral body leaving the physical body to travel in an astral plane. The idea of astral travel is rooted in common worldwide religious accounts of the afterlife in which the consciousness' or soul's journey or "ascent" is described in such terms as "an... out-of body experience, wherein the spiritual traveller leaves the physical body and travels in his/her subtle body (or dreambody or astral body) into ‘higher’ realms." It is frequently reported in association with dreams, and forms of meditation." -wikipedia

I just learned that a goth band from Spain played at the local club and I was ready to go. In a second I was there.

The club was an old building that had about 3 stories. It was kind of dark but the only light that allowed me to see people's shapes was a green light that surrounded the whole place. Apparently I was alone, so I started walking in and out of rooms. The band arrived, but apparently the audience was not interested in the show ...they showed no interest in them. At one point I felt insecure, and I began to look for an exit to go back home. I found a long corridor on the ground floor of the building, which was being repaired; the walls were covered with cement and no paint.
At the end of the corridor, I found a wooden door very high and large. When I opened it, I discovered a large group of people between 30 and 40. They were losing ....the shape of their faces ... and quickly turned into demons, they looked at me, I knew what they wanted; these demons were hungry and I was their food.
I closed the door and ran into a large courtyard which was surrounded by rooms also abandoned. I turned and saw the group of demons who were behind me and they did not run like I did, they almost flew, leaving a dark trail in their path.

It was night time and I woke up in an old house that probably was from the colonial period, it looked neglected. That is, no one has lived in that house for a long time. I met a girl; she was blond with very pale skin. I felt safe with her, but this girl was hiding or running away from something inside the house.
She took me to a backyard and we sat there talking. I notice that there were many things stored in bags, and I decided to kneel down and see what they had inside. The first things I saw were bottles and steel boxes, which clearly were from the 50's and 60's by the pictures on them. I also saw toys that were not so old and that even seemed familiar to me.

On the branch of a large tree that was in the back yard, a young man was sitting watching us. He looked like the girl, at first I thought they were a couple but they did not act like one. Now that I think about it, they were dressed in clothes from the 18th century. The young man spoke to me a bit, but unfortunately I do not remember what he said, he looked at me with fondness and accompanied me to the back door of the house and said goodbye to me.

Retratos de los inmortales/Do they exist?

Romulus and Remus:

They were werewolves, who founded the empire of Rome via conquest. A vampire known as Scorn appeared at this time, becoming involved in the wars of Rome. Scorn was often mistaken as the incarnation of Roman God Mars (Greek: Ares) due to his war-like attitude. Scorn conquered many lands, and an alliance with many other vampires, was formed. These fiends terrorized the humans, until a powerful and nameless human began to weaken the vampires, and condemned them to a life of exile, while other terrified people began to follow his lead. The Roman Catholic Church comes into play now, as the force that kept the vampires exiled, and the city safe.

Incubus and Succubus:

Both of European origin are sexual beings, the Incubus the male, and Succubus the female. The Incubus is known to visit women nightly, and drain them of life and strength. It is said that if an Incubus should visit you, it will haunt your dreams. Incubus vampires can father children. Succubus vampires are female, who visit men nightly for sexual relations, and haunt their dreams, rendering a victim totally exhausted.

The Talamaur:

A living form of the vampire, originating in Australia. It is said the Talamaur can communicate and summon spirits, and that it feeds on the remaining life force of a fresh corpse by eating the flesh.
The Strigoii is by far the most famous vampire, of Romanian descent. It is dead, and feeds on the blood of the living, often participating in sexual acts with human females.

Lilith:

In the book of Genesis (Holy Bible), a woman who once shared Eden with Adam is spoken of. Her name is believed to be Lilith, though her name is only mentioned once in the bible (Isaiah 34:14), and she is spoken of once in the Jewish Torah.

Originally, Lilith was Adam’s wife. She was not made from Adam, rather she was created as an equal of Adam’s, and was given free will in Eden. Lilith and Adam argued frequently, and Lilith refused to make love with Adam, who demanded her lay on her back during intercourse. For this, Adam became angry with God, and demanded a woman created in his likeness. God punished Lilith for her disobedience by forbidding her and any offspring that should come of her from eating from the Tree Of Knowledge. Enraged after a time, Lilith began to eat from the tree again.Lilith escaped the Garden of Eden. Once out of the garden, she took up the habit of sleeping with a different man every night.

When Lilith heard of Adam’s new wife Eve, she became fearful that if they had offspring, Adam would send them to seek revenge. Lilith became paranoid, and quite fearful of children. Due to this phobia, she resorted to cannibalism, devouring innocent children, cursing them as well.

This story is believe to be the explanation as to why women are cursed with monthly bloodletting; hence many believe the myths of vampires were born from this legend.

Vrykolakas:

In Greek folklore, vampirism could occur through various means: being excommunicated, desecrating a religious day, committing a great crime, or dying alone. Other causes included having a cat jump across one's grave, eating meat from a sheep killed by a wolf, and being cursed. Vrykolakas were usually thought to be indistinguishable from living people, giving rise to many folk tales with this theme. Crosses and antidoron (blessed bread) from the church were used as wards in different places. To prevent vampires from rising from the dead, their hearts were pierced with iron nails while resting in their graves, or their bodies burned and the ashes scattered. Because the Church opposed burning people who had received the myron of chrismation in the baptism ritual, cremation was considered a last resort. (Wikipedia)
